Research using the TVSEP data covers a wide range of topics, including, for example agricultural development, land use changes, climate change, credit, finance and debt, rural industrialization and digitalization, health and education and rural-urban migration. Research with TVSEP data is carried out by researchers at the Leibniz Universitaet Hannover and the Georg-August-Universitaet Goettingen. This is called "internal research". To see respective research topics by internal researchers, you can go to 'Internal'. Majority of research with TVSEP data, however, is done by external researchers. These are researchers who work with institutions in Thailand, in Vietnam, in other Asian countries, in Europe, USA and in Australia and who were given the data upon request. To view the topics of external researchers please go to 'External'.
A third category of TVSEP research are so-called add-on projects. These are research activities by internal and/or external researchers, who partly use the TVSEP data and combine them with their own data collection within or nearby the "TVSEP villages". For example, such projects could be randomized control trials (RCTs) or topical data collection activities going beyond the TVSEP survey instruments. Researchers who conduct add-on projects have to bring their own funding. For a description of add-on projects, please go to 'Add-on projects'. If you are interested in planning and implementing a TVSEP add-on project, please send an email to TVSEP.
