The TVSEP panels have been carried out in rural areas of three provinces in Thailand (Buriram, Ubon Ratchathani and Nakhon Phanom) and three provinces (Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue and Dak Lak) in Vietnam. The six provinces are peripheral to the borders of Laos and Cambodia which differ regarding to agro-ecological conditions, infrastructure and development potential.
The sample was designed in such a way that it is representative of the rural population for Northeast Thailand and Central Vietnam. Further details about sampling design is available in:
