Registration for access to TVSEP datasets

Information about privacy according to Article 13 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) attributes the utmost importance to the security of your data. Hereby, we provide you with information pertaining to the data protection regulations adhered to by TVSEP regarding user data provided for registration for access to TVSEP datasets. We assure compliance with all relevant legal assignments, especially the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Purpose of processing

In order to facilitate TVSEP data access, your data will be processed at the Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade.

Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for processing required disclosures, which are requested in the registration form, is Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR in combination with § 17 “Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz" (NHG).

Obligation of provision

Provision of registration data is voluntary, yet required in order to process your registration for data access. It is only possible to request TVSEP data if you submit the required disclosures (see registration form).

Storage period

Your data are processed in order to organise and finalise the TVSEP data access procedure. Further, your data are stored until a notification of publication is received following TVSEP requirements. Should you require us to delete your data at any point, we will do so immediately, as long as this is not in conflict with other legal obligations.

  • Employees of the Institute for Environmental Economics and World Trade, which organise and implement TVSEP data access.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data (according to Article 15 through 21 GDPR):

  • Right of rectification and completion
  • Right of erasure
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right of data portability

Right of objection

You may object to the storage and processing of your data at any time. Consequently, we will not store nor process your data any longer, the exception being if there are compelling legitimate reasons for processing or if processing serves assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.
