Data protection

TVSEP takes the protection of our panel households’ data very seriously. A data protection plan has been developed and the project has been certified by the Leibniz University Hannover to be compliant with European and German data protection laws and standards.

Sample of the TVSEP dataset

TVSEP has released a first sample of its dataset. The featured data include selected key information on rural households in Thailand and Vietnam. Some further information on the sample and the dataset can be downloaded here:

*Note: the 2024 datasets for Thailand and Vietnam have been released since July 2025

TVSEP Virtual Workshop: 26-27 March 2026

TVSEP data users are invited to participate in the TVSEP Virtual Data User Workshop on 26–27 March 2026. The workshop combines scientific paper presentations with hands-on training in using the TVSEP data. The training may cover topics such as accessing the TVSEP data, merging panel waves, constructing key indicators, and working with the data in Stata.

Please fill in the following online form by 15 February 2026, indicating whether you would like to present a paper (including a working title and a short abstract of around 200 words) and/or whether you would like to receive training in using TVSEP data, specifying your concrete needs.
