On 9 March 2026, the TVSEP team at the Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) welcomed a research delegation from Thailand, including Asst. Prof. Supawadee Photiyarach, Senior specialist at Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) working on the TOGETHER NZT Project; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thamasak Yee-min, Faculty of Science, Ramkhamhaeng University; research leader in marine biology and tourism climate action for communities; Mr. Nipatpong Chuanchuen, Vice-President of the ASEAN Ecotourism Network Trade Association (AEN-Thailand); and Thanunyarat Pinchai, PhD Candidate in Environmental Technology and Management, University of Phayao. The Thai delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Trung Thanh Nguyen, Dr. Manh Hung Do, MSc. Philipp Albert, and Kasem Kunasri.
During the visit, the teams exchanged research ideas on Net Zero Tourism, climate action in tourism, sustainable development, and rural transformation, and discussed potential research collaborations between the TVSEP and TSRI/ Thai universities using the TVSEP data.
